This year we bought a 9 1/2 foot prelit spruce Christmas tree for our living room. It definitely fits the room much better with the vaulted ceilings. It took a couple of hours, but the girls decorated the lower third, I decorated the middle third, and Derek stood on a chair and decorated the top third! It turned out beautiful! Every year we buy new picture frame ornaments and put in photos from the year. I enjoy this tradition because then we can see how our family has grown. Lauren saw the 2002 ornament with one of our wedding photos in it and said "Mommy is pretty." : ) And she likes to find the ones of Alex as a baby.
I love this photo of Lauren decorating the tree in her heels. She is really becoming a girly girl! Anyone who knows her knows that she has a shoe fetish. She will try on any shoe, no matter the size, shape or color. And if you can come to our house to visit, she WILL try on your shoes. This year my mom gave her a shoe ornament and it fits her personality really well right now!
